CHSRF/CIHR Postdoctoral Awards*
These awards differ from traditional postdoctoral fellowships in two main ways. First, in addition to having a research-oriented position (usually at a university), there is a requirement to learn about the decision-making world through a placement within a decision-making organization. Second, award holders are expected to acquire communication skills.Up to eleven awards are provided each year.
In contrast to the Career Reorientation Awards, the Postdoctoral Awards are open to those with a health profession background who want to expand their options by focusing on applied health services and policy research.
