Structure
The Foundation is governed by a board of trustees comprised of researchers and decision makers in the health sector, along with individuals with financial planning and investment expertise. The federal deputy minister of health is also an ex officio member of the board. Trustees oversee the Foundation’s endowment fund and set policies and program directions for the organization.
Three board committees provide guidance and advice on the Foundation's programs and business operations.
Branch Descriptions
Office of the President, includes Strategic Evaluation and Communications, maintains the overall vision for the Foundation, develops external relations, and supports the board of trustees and its committees.
Programs creates and implements projects and activities that directly support the Foundation’s strategic priorities.
Research makes funding available to sponsor and support applied health systems and policy research through jointly-funded programs.
Corporate Services provides stability for the Foundation’s infrastructure through sound management of finances, investments, human resources, information technology, and policies and procedures.
Scientific Officers
The Foundation appoints scientific officers to assist with the design and operation of many of its research programs.
Sustaining Members
The sustaining members of the Foundation are individuals or organizations that have made or have been instrumental in arranging significant long term financial support of the Foundation and who are approved for sustaining membership by the trustees.
Honorary Members
Honorary members are individuals who are considered to have contributed significantly to the objectives of the Foundation and who are approved for honorary membership by the trustees.
